The autocrats and plutocrats are drooling about getting rid of Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. Or privatizing them so the rich can fleece the people! Bush tried to privatize it, Trump has a much better chance of that, or whatever. But the Republicans will do everything they can to rape and degrade those programs e.g. attaching conditions like work requirements. And I am surprised they haven't gone after the ACA? This is a bad bunch our ignorant folks voted in!!

Wonder if DOGE has broken the system... A friend early yesterday found a inexplicable and considerable deposit from SSA in his account in addition to his regular one. Best guess is the he got somebody else's payment in addition to his. I went to their site, found no record of the unexpected payment, tried to contact them, and found that their service where you can have them call you rather than waiting on hold had a message that the service was no longer available. Solution pending.
