Wyeth-Ayerst's Premarin, at which this product is directly aimed, is the one of the leading prescription medications in the U.S. ($800M ++ in sales). Obviously, DRMD will not take all the market share and WAR has launched a massive direct-marketing campaign praising Premarin, but 10% of this market would be a lot for DRMD and 25% would be huge. DRMD does have an interesting marketing hook based solely on the source of their conjugated estrogens vs. WAR's urine-based drug.

Thure:

Its a complicated story.
The market is huge,, totals in the billions.
Question is ,, what portion of the market could DRMD steal away.
American Home products virtually owns the market and will stoop to any means to prevent DRMD from getting approval. Then if they do get approval there are still many mountains to climb. Not the least of which is getting anyone to prescribe it, approve it, allow it etc.
besides American holds control of or a club over, many of the wholesale distributors and so on.
that said, IF and when DRMD gets approval... The market is so big and women have been being over charged for so long for this product that DRMD should gradually win a bigger and bigger share of it. At one time I read the 350,000,000 figure as to what was obtainable. Don't have any real idea if that could be done.... IF and I said IF it could be done DRMD is a very undervalued stock. Think of it this way ,, say its a 50,000,000 potential. Does that make a $6 stock look good?
