Here is a tenured law professor suggesting that the best hope for democracy is for our popularly elected president to be replaced by a military junta. This is necessary because any alliance with Russia is apparently an existential crisis (for unstated reasons). At this point, my only hope for the US to avoid becoming an ally to Russia is a violent resistance by our military. Tragic to say that because the military are trained to avoid any politically motivated intervention.
