Actually I believe Elon Musk should be the LAST person to make that determination.

Instead, the determination should be left to whoever is running the day-to-day operations at SpaceX.

The less Musk is involved, the better.

Of course, you probably disagree because you believe in the Musk personality cult ...
Last I heard he was a 70% owner in SpaceX stock making him more motivated than anyone on the planet to get to the bottom of what happened or didn't.

It isn't about a personality cult. It is about the fact that he is de facto the most reliable source on the topic of anyone on the planet, he has the best engineers anywhere, and they will get to the bottom of it.

And they are, unlike you, not biased by politics because they lack any political interests to defend.
