Style,

I think I can close my eyes and see it. Huntsville, Al had a big/bad one on November 15, 1989. The first year I was here.

Style,

You had a tornado wizz by your house last nite and now your posting on SI? I can envision you sitting focused at the computer terminal. Yet all that is left is you on your chair and the computer on its table. The house around you is gone. (In my picture).

Style - how in the hell did you not find out until noon the next day that you'd been thru the tornado(s). I live in Winter Springs, NE of Orlando. We got hit pretty hard, & anyone who was not comatose knew something was going on between midnite & 2 a.m. I got some pretty good damage to house & trees, but no-one hurt (thank you very much).

Re: The tornados and you not knowing about them

I have to give it to you, you are either the coolest person or the most relaxed individual I have ver encountered! I remember a long time ago when I was about 8 yeard old, our house was on fire. There were a lot of firemen (close to 50) with all kinds of noise had come over to put out the fire and all the neighbors had come over to see what was happening. I remember my grandpa (god bless his soul) looking through his window and wondering what was all the noise about. He then called us screaming: "Come, Come, there seems to be a fire somewhere. Lets go out and see whose house is on fire!!" Not knowing of course that it was his own house that was on fire! And I thought he was the coolest and the most relaxed individual I would ever know....
