Re Y2K delaying Euro Implementation

There are many vested interests which want/do not want the Euro.
The former wouldnt let a nuclear war stop the Euro, the latter would use a small snowfall as an excuse to delay it.

You are unlikely to read an article that does not come from one of these two extreme viewpoints.

I would say that it is extremely unlikely that the Euro will be delayed merely because some companies didnt have their act together with regard to Y2K. It is more likely to be delayed by the current court case in Germany. (but even that is a slim chance)

However, either way, I would think that most Y2k/Euro companies have more work than they can cope with anyhow, so a delay would actually be good news.

Has anyone worked out how to delay the Year 2000 yet (to allow the Euro to proceed)?
