Early trading for this week saw popular memory devices (IE 4Mx4 EDO SOJ) resume a downward trend after Friday's brief reprieve. With the exception of select revision/manufacturer specific product, availabilities continue to increase across all configurations and manufacturers. Similarly, CPU activity remains light as buyers show extreme caution as a result of the memory trend and another Intel price change (IE 3-15-98).

Larry,

You're right , I missed a 77% move in MU and it grieves me but that's the vagaries of the market. I'm an investor so am constitutionally (whew! long word) unable to go long a piece of horse pucker ... have to leave that to the traders who don't care what it is as long as it goes in the right direction. Have no argument with that. Where you're offside is thinking we're (the investor/FA/bears) necessarily stupid. I did not miss the move from $60 to $20 and am trying like heck not to miss the move from $40 to $10 ... although I might have overdone it on the Aprils. Also if I may point out (not for the first time) for someone who's such a purist trader you seem strangely interested in the fundamentals. That's like me wondering what the 30-day MA is doing. Guess it comes with focussing on one stock. At least, unlike davidG, you don't pretend to know the fundamentals (yep boys, we're hiring more people, makin' more chips and costs are goin' down! .. go for it davidG!!). Got to go point out a few things to DJ.

regards, Mike
