AFAIK, no private investment has the ability to remove funds from your paycheck before you ever see them and have it mandated by law!

I was assuming that there would be a required minimum investment that would be calculated rather like SS is now, perhaps the same amount as now, that would have to be invested by the individual plus some annual reporting much like income tax that it had been done.

The folks who are interested in doing this are the folks who want minimal government so I am assuming a minimal system. What I described above is a minimal system, next to nothing. Which is why I'm wondering why they would bother to "privatize" it rather than just getting rid of it.

Just musing...
