Mark, It is hard to say as each ore body differs. The best would be quartz with gold in pyrite. The quartz is transparent and so you waste little energy on haeting it(like glass microwave dishes) and the gold and iron pyrite get heated and the pyrite is roasted away from the gold which is then left easily leachable. (pyrite often encapsulates gold so tightly it will not leach, so you must roast it in an autoclave, thus wasting heat to heat the sand and gravel as well as the pyrite) Of course maaking microwaves is only about 40% efficient and the equipment is costly, however you get better pollution control and with the right kind of ore it works well. Each are body differs and must be tested.
