I'm not sure that this is true in *any* case - it's certainly not true in every case, at least not for CF. Look on their E-bill website - you'll see that a big selling point for billers is that they just use the data from the billing run to do all this. I've not looked so closely at the MSFDC model yet - it does sound as if more is being done on the biller's site. I haven't heard of MS having a product here, the company that does (and appears to have a very strong position) is Just In Time Systems (http://www.justintime.com). Intuit and CF both work with this company.
