I agree, II has a less-than-impeccable sense of timing. I do like the mag as a source of stock ideas to be followed up with one's own DD. Also, they have nice articles not purely related to picking particular stocks. II can't afford to take a two-or three-year view with its Magic 25. They have to cough up an annual return after exactly one year -- if a magic 25 stock takes off after its year in the portfolio is up, II gets no credit (for example, TRMB doubled the one year of the past 4 that it WASN'T in the Magic 25 -- D'oh!). So, cut them some slack. No one in the world can time the markets perfectly. Justin
