I would go to NYC and see 2-3 top shows in a weekend at $100 apiece but not at those price points. The novelty of seeing great actors in person wears off quickly.

When Colbert had Clooney and Gyllenhaal on promoting their shows... funny there was no mention of the prices. Of course there never is. The rationale is interesting.
I took my kids to see a couple of shows back in the 90's. Tickets were around $25.
