Points Of Iraq Agreement As Identified By U.S.' Clinton Dow Jones International News Service via Dow Jones NEW YORK (AP)--These are the points that U.S. President Clinton says Iraqi President Saddam Hussein agreed to: -The government of Iraq has made a written commitment to provide 'immediate, unrestricted, unconditional' access for U.N. inspectors to all suspect weapons making sites in Iraq, as called for by U.N. Security Council resolutions dating from the 1991 Persian Gulf War. -If fully implemented, this would allow the United Nations Special Commission (Unscom) to fulfill its mission to find and destroy all of Iraq's chemical, biological and nuclear weapons; find and destroy the missiles to deliver those weapons; and to institute a system for long-term monitoring to make sure Iraq doesn't build more. -The agreement applies to all sites anywhere in Iraq, including eight disputed 'presidential sites,' which were among areas to which U.N. weapons inspectors had previously been denied access. -Senior diplomats appointed by the U.N. secretary general will accompany the Unscom experts as they inspect suspected weapons sites, with repeat visits and no deadlines to complete their work. -Iraq has further committed that all areas, facilities, equipment, records, and means of transportation shall be open to Unscom under existing procedures, including sites that were previously closed.
