There's a seismic shift in college recruiting. I know a bunch of families around here who are sending their kids to a year of private school before becoming a "freshman" in HS. Kids who don't think they'll be scholarshipped right out of HS are opting to go to PG (post grad) schools for a year (or two). They can then legally be considered a Freshman when they finally do get recruited hence qualify for a scholarship (which is mandatory at the D1 level for all varsity athletes).

If a coach doesn't like his recruiting class, he can then grab a kid out of the portal. Or, heck, why even worry about recruiting kids in HS when you have so many seasoned portal kids to choose from? That's why you are seeing way more one-and-dones at the college level of all sports than ever before. And why not every Freshman is a true Freshman.

You're truly a moron!

You NEVER speak highly of your team's chances.

It's like saying "xyz hasn't missed a FG from this range in 40 attempts."
