Do you mean

1) neo-Liberals like Thatcher, Reagan, and Mulroney. (Classic Liberalism advocates freeing money from government control.)
2) the federal Liberal Party in Canada, classic middle of the road party who survive by stealing the best ideas from the left and right
3) the BC liberals, recently defunct, who were a coalition between federal Liberals and Conservatives
4) American liberals, who in most respects are well to the right of most Canadian conservatives
5) classic Canadian Red Tories, who are to the right economically but to the left in all other respects

I could go on. I am just trying to show how 'liberal' is a useless label because it is far too vague to actually be a useful descriptor.

OTOH, 'racist' and 'neo-fascist' are precise and useful labels for the likes of Trump and Musk.
