The difference is Trump is using a significant sum of Tariffs to raise a significant sum of capital for the US Treasury. This Administration wants to impose Consumption Taxes on Consumers.
Tariffs are a 'Consumption Tax', in that the Consumer ultimately pays the Tariff incurred on the Importer by the Importer raising his prices at market to offset the cost of his tariff. Higher Prices are coming. There is no doubt about that. US Equity Markets will continue to edge lower and lower.
