The one word: Asia
MOT has so much exposure in ASIA not that it's not doing great but currency rates and inflation there is causing this one to be underperformer. But I must add that this is one of the best long term play in telecom world. MOT is pure global company.
regards,
av

MOT, what a dog!
I just can not belive it. When Semi stocks were going up MOT didn't rally because it is not a Semi stock it's telecom equipment. Today every telecom equipment rallied except MOT. QCOM up $4.75, NTL up $2.35 (can.$), Lucent, Nokia. What the hell is wrong with this company. I don't think there is any management out there as bad as MOT. I thought they will introduce their new digital phones and get market excited.
I recently bought three telecom equipment stock, QCOM, MOT and NTL. All three have done very bad. I should have bought, NOK.A, LU, ERICY.
