I agree wholeheartedly. Compaq's R&D is far superior and way ahead in terms of the products required for the future. I dont know what type of an R&D dept DELL has and whether they are working on products for applications 2-3 years down the road. There will be a time where standard products put together will not make up a server. I know for a fact that Compaq makes its own ASICs etc. and as a result their products outperform DELL's in the same category in terms of reliability and performance. I am long on DELL and longer on CPQ. -hitesh
