Nor is mutual suicide.

Nor is a Pyrrhic victory.

I mean, there are lots of options in this particular game.

Master of the rubble and smoking ruins should not be your goal.

When you play the game and start with "either you let me win or I will set off my suicide vest", don't be surprised when your opponent reaches over and pushes the button for you.

Two year olds try to negotiate that way. Usually they just turn blue and pass out on the floor.

"Suicide usually isn't a great option."

You're talking about people who attacked using suicide waves during the Korean War. Upon further reflection, Japan could also bring us down, since they hold more debt than China, and they actually flew planes into ships in WW2.

If either of them wants to be world leader like we were, just a few short months ago, they should dump some treasuries and put all the money into replacing USAID programs. It's a pretty good way to win the hearts and minds of unaligned nations.
