So, as a great poker player, you cannot see this is a negotiation tactic? I'd think you should be able to spot that a mile away. So Node, you cannot see that you have fallen hook, line, and sinker for a con man? Trump is a con, just as he has always been. Remember Trump University? Con job. Trump sneakers? Con job Trump Bible? Con jog (he cannot even hold it right side up during his photo op con) As you say, I'd think you should be able to spot that con a mile away!

China called Trump's bet, and raised Trump raised back. China has seen Trump's raise, and re-raised. Next move? Europe seems to think they have a pretty good hand too.

My point was that Trump will not get Xi to:Kiss his ass". Which it seems he expects everyone to do! And Trump's tariffs were such a disaster, he backed down and suspended them, except China. Trump made it personal and if Xi will NEVER lose face with Trump! And what kind of president says: " they are kissing my ass:? Do you not know how vulgar and anti diplomatic that is! You just never seem able to connect the dots. Trump picked a fight with Xi, and he and the US will lose. < So, as a great poker player, you cannot see this is a negotiation tactic? Designed to force China to come to the table and negotiate in good faith? I'd think you should be able to spot that a mile away.
