Isn't the Bigfoot a lower-quality, and lower-speed, drive? Just good to keep that straight. Now if QNTM dropped their DMA 33Mb/s drive to $209, we'd really have something to think about.

Does any of you folks know whether the retailers are slashing their prices after the manufactures do or are they maybe (I doubt it) shrinking their own margins only? Who makes the first move when prices are cut?

If the manufs are the first-movers, then no good news for WDC calendar Q1/98 revenue can be expected, IMO...

I'm still holding long...
