Hi, Del, and thank you for the sweet birthday wishes. It was too rainy most of the day to walk on the beach, but I did eat some fresh strawberries, which were difficult to find. The produce out here seems to have been ruined by all of the flooding. Things are not ripened correctly, and are very expensive. Since California is America's salad bowl and everything, I feel sorry for everyone who is expecting to celebrate spring soon with fruits and vegetables from here.

I guess that is another reason to support your local farmers' markets. Isn't there one in Wisconsin that you visit when you are there? Or is it too snowy to grow anything? Is that where the herb lady is, or is she in Texas?

It's hard to imagine your high-strung sister giddy at the same time she is hyper. I guess she is giving her love interest most of her energy, though, and not bothering you too much? Your maid is very lucky to have found her true love on the internet. How romantic to have run off to Europe. Of course, it is sad that she left her husband, but perhaps the relationship was not healthy.

Of course I would answer your post if you actually sent one!!! Did you go to Catholic school? Your respect for authority in the guise of the librarian obviously got you all shaken up. Is she pretty? Maybe she has a crush on you!!
