Actually, the whole thing can be advanced to the status of Board Game. Imagine - it's post #8998. Two hardbitten players splash alternating Blank Posts onto the rippling canvas of the Permanent Record. Now it becomes a matter of Strategy, because whoever has the nascent Post 9000 needs to decide whether to fill it. If I have Post 8999 and 9001, well then, I simply write nada into Post 8999. Then the Webmistress will expunge it later, and with an audible clatter the post numbers will engage in self chiropractic. Now if I have Post 9000 and 9002, and you have Post 8999, well, I need to know you have a permanent post there. Otherwise (and here is where the real serious players will have stopwatches and multiple browsers open) you could just blank Post 8999 at the end of the Edit Period! Then your Post 9001 will be blazoned with triumph and will get reassigned the Triple Ought.
Unless I see it in time, and quickly blot Post 9000. Clatter clatter! Then my initial Post 9002 wears the Crown.
I eagerly anticipate Browser Yahtzee.

Just think - Anyone who posts in the Time Window can stand on the sidelines, electronic felt eraser in hand. The potential for head games is a kickinthearse.
(And now, I must dodge clandestine death squads for the rest of my days, because I've published a dark secret.)
