Terry, GRNO's fame is a small compact fractionation process, going the route of converting the "heavy bottoms" to gas then gases to liquid is not very practical. Apart of that, they do not really have much "heavy bottoms" in the waste oil they process.

Terry, I assume you have read the posts on the GRNO research site on SI which is a small collection of URLs pertaining to GRNO.

Subject 18312

The actual fundamental technology at the heart of the GRNO process is the subject of a patent application and is something the company is trying to keep close to the vest. Its technology is the reason the process doesn't produce severe "coking" which would require more maintenance, thereby minimizing operating costs.

P. S. Syd, we both saw Terry's question and answered at the same time.

P. P. S. Laidlaw announced their stock ratio is still 2.8 for the vote on Wednesday. (Terry, Laidlaw Environmental is located in Columbia, SC, and surely must be familiar with the GRNO story. I have been following their takeover of Safety Kleen. I have a feeling Laidlaw could be important to GRNO some day.)
