I do care that it's an abundant, inexpensive energy source It has not been the cheapest for years now. And it massively pollutes the environment from cradle to grave. the reserves of which the US has several centuries worth available for extraction and use Yep, There is lots of it but it's obsolete and dirty. Good luck building a coal fired unit! No bank will touch it. We don't live in the "cave man days" anymore!
