Hello. I have just activated my trial period with SI, although
I have been lurking ever since the 3rd quarter of 1997.
I bought Corel at ~$6, thinking the worst was over, and
that now they would finally focus! Yeah, right.

Now that we have been through the roller coaster of ~$20
to $2.05 CDN, what really lies ahead? I am leaning towards
there being a massive shakeup at Corel, after maybe two
quarters of reduced losses or even modest profits. Assuming the
stock stays afloat, our faith and desperation will be rewarded.

I've got two questions for you master investors out there.

1. What would have to happen for there to be an imminent
threat of bankruptcy; for the exchanges to halt trading, etc...
And when that happens, where do we sit in the reimbursement lineup?
Would the TSE accept a COS trading at $.95, for example??

2. Assuming things don't turn around, and Cowpland is not
able to manoeuvre away from the looming cliffs, under what
conditions would he be ejected from office? Is anyone out
there privy to the internal politics of Corel?

Thanks...Dave

Hi Leo,
Thanks for the article. Made room on my hard drive for it. It just goes to show you that it take more than brains, charisma, ambition and hard work to make the company. I always knew these guys were flamboyant. I've never had a problem with flamboyant. I do have a problem with crooked.
