I was say instead that most thought that the kind of foolishness that is currently roiling the world's economies was just talk and bluster. Knowing that the effects would be so negative, few thought the Trump/Musk Gang would actual go through with them. Now we all are paying the price. Last time we had a trade war and the widespread imposition of tariffs -- or terroriffs as I like to call them -- by the US it led directly to a world war. I hope we can escape that fate this time. LC
