@CalltoActivism

BREAKING: In a disturbing interview, Republican Congressman Tom Burchett says he supports a plan for American citizens to be deported to El Salvador prisons. “They're criminals. They broke our laws. They need to suffer.” This is absolutely insane.

Brumar, I found this link using Google:

U.S.-born man held for ICE under Florida’s new anti-immigration law (New Hampshire Bulletin via Yahoo News)

Check this out:
Based on her inspection of his birth certificate and Social Security card, Riggans said she found no probable cause for the charge. However, the state prosecutor insisted the court lacked jurisdiction over Lopez-Gomez’s release because U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement had formally asked the jail to hold him.“This court does not have any jurisdiction other than what I’ve already done,” Riggans said.
This is an ILLEGAL ORDER, and the state has no obligation to hold him.

If DeathSantis wanted, he could have told ICE to go fukk themselves.

But instead, he turned around and grabbed his ankles because, you know, MAGA ...

New poll out showing that 52% of Americans oppose deporting those on student visas who express pro-Palestinian views. Only 26% support it:

FIRE POLL: Only 1/4 of Americans support deporting foreigners for pro-Palestinian views (TheFire.com)

However, there's a caveat. 22% are under the category of "neither support nor oppose."

That means if Trump starts rounding up the students for mass deportation, these people won't necessarily approve of it, but neither will they speak out against it.

To me, that's the same as supporting it.

It's also a troubling sign given that a depoliticized population is exactly the wet dream of any authoritarian regime, from Trump to PooTin.
