Thanks, kc…. As I recall, Trump stopped chips sales to one company - Huawei. Joe Biden went much further - stopped sales of all (or most) chips to all (or most) Chinese companies. David Goldman monitored this very closely. My point was that the success or failure of the tariffs will depend on how successfully we move forward with de-industrialization.

Can’t find specific links, but afaik, Trump was talking today about moderating tariffs on Chinese goods - and stated that Jay Powell will keep his job. The markets liked it - and there was a very decent jump after hours. The ES and NQ futures are both up more than 1.5% after hours. So, if this holds, we may see tomorrow another strong day.
