Northam, I'm glad you asked about Trump's lies, because that one post alone is a gift that keeps on giving:

- Zelensky wasn't "boasting" on the WSJ. He's instead asserting that Crimea legally belongs to Ukraine, something that the rest of the world also recognizes. Trump is projecting here, as usual.

- Trump thinks that asserting legal territorial claims "harms the peace process" because of some statutory limit, but that's also bullshit. There is no time limit when it comes to taking back what was stolen. Trump is making that shit up.

- Trump is LYING when he says that no one is asking Zelensky to recognize Crimea as RuZZian territory. That directly contradicts everything else he says in that one post.

- Ukraine did NOT hand over Crimea without a shot being fired. That's another blatant lie by Trump. It's like saying if a store was robbed at gunpoint without a shot being fired, then the goods were legally and willingly handed over.

- So what if there were RuZZian submarine bases in Crimea? There were also RuZZian bases in Syria. Does that means RuZZia also has the legal right to take over Syria by force now?

- Trump thinks that Ukraine only has three more years before being taken over completely by RuZZia. That's not true. The facts on the battlefield, including the slowing RuZZian advances and the depletion of RuZZian armor, say otherwise, but Trump chooses not to believe the facts.

- Just because Trump doesn't understand the goals of either side doesn't mean those goals don't exist. Trump's blatant lack of understanding is a major reason why Trump's "peace plan" is a complete failure.

- "Nobody wants a killing field" ... except PooTin, who can stop the war at anytime he feels like.

- Trump is no closer to a "deal" than he was back when he promised to end the war in 24 hours.

- Trump has no power to end the war now, so why should we believe that he had the power to prevent the war from starting in the first place? He repeats this point over and over again because he's a fukkin' narcissist. EVERYTHING has to be about him.
