When Sony announced the HiFD drive, in late October, they said that pricing and availability would be announced in sixty days. They haven't gotten around to announcing it yet.

What is that, four months?

They have fallen into the very same trap that virtually every other manufacturer of computer hardware has been caught by. Development always takes longer than initial estimates. This is true for software, too.
