I know two couples who own places in Arizona.

The first couple bought a mobile home in a trailer park for $5,000. They gradually fixed it up and have had a lot of fun with the friends they've made there.

The second couple started with a modest home and, over the years, bought and sold nearly 7–8 different properties, eventually ending up with a home worth well over $1 million. However, they never reported their sales to the IRS, mistakenly believing they were exempt from U.S. tax laws, a misconception they share with many others.

The IRS would have a hay day with people like the second couple.
