SURFSIDE BEACH, S.C., Feb. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- It's huge, it's outrageous,
its' BIG STUFF! What is BIG STUFF? The company logo says it best - 'The
advertisement that grabs your customer and won't let go.'
The Lobster Van is proudly owned by Sam Karos the owner of the Seafare
Seafood Restaurant in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. Mr. Karos is so pleased
with the business that it generates that he is giving strong consideration to
purchasing a second van.
People love the vans so much that they want photos standing next to the
vans. They line up in front of the van for a family picture. Karos says,
"Cars will follow you for miles just to catch up and get another look. They
can't forget our van."
Vans have also been created for Dick's Pawn shop in Surfside Beach, South
Carolina; Sam Baker owner of Sam's Corner (known for the World Famous Hot
Dogs) in Garden City and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; and Goldbar Jewelers in
Virginia.
Baker claims that his hot dog and hamburger business is up 34% since he
purchased his van.
The mastermind who created BIG STUFF is Jack Macione, a graduate of The
Rhode Island School of Design. Jack designed and built his first creation in
June 1996 for Sam Karos, owner of the Seafare Seafood Restaurant in Murrells
Inlet, South Carolina.
BIG STUFF creations are basically large depictions of items that represent
your business. There are unlimited designs possible and they are created as
one-of-a-kind designs for your market area to reflect your business image.
The creations weight about 350 pounds and are made from polyurethane foam
and encased with fiberglass cloth and colored resin. If they're damaged,
they're easy to fix.
Photographs, designs and additional information can be found on the BIG
STUFF Web pages located at successstreet.com.
On April 18, 1998, Jack will be showing off the Lobster Van in the
International Festival in Houston, Texas.
