Arrested was Massachusetts lawmaker State Representative Chris Flanagan on embezzlement charges this week, as the new administration continues to root out corruption across the political landscape. U.S. Attorney Leah Foley released a press statement stating that Flanagan was arrested on charges of embezzling approximately $36,000 from a former employer to pay for campaign expenses. Those expenses included: Campaign expenditures New clothes Credit card debt Flanagan, 37, allegedly stole the funds while working as executive officer for the Home Builders and Remodelers Association of Cape Cod.
