It isn't plausible that BAT would be setting on its hands until the SEC goes way--unless of course they are just in the business of hype, pump and dump, and all that kind of stuff.

The California Sales Tax Exemption bill, if passes, would give Toyota and Audi an edge in California selling cars exceeding 64 miles to the gallon in 1999. Appears there ought to be room for nationalism to work its magic and BAT could be in there helping the Big 3 get toe-to-toe with Toyota and Audi, instead of waiting for the SEC. Besides, if worse comes to worse, we can always throw 'em Ole Joe as a peace offering.

Deals on the table? What does that mean. They better stay focused on the dyno test for Ford and then I'll accept "Big Deals" are developing.

Last note: the PR was unclear how 99 models sold in 1998 that met requirements would be handled.
