Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said Saturday that she had declined an offer by Trump to send US troops to fight drug cartels on Mexican territory. During a public university inauguration in Texcoco, Sheinbaum confirmed a WSJ report that Trump had made the offer – saying it was mentioned during "some of the calls" the two have shared.

Brumar - most people who voted for Trump do not like or support everything about him.

I am very well aware of Trump's limitations and yet I voted for him because I felt he was the superior candidate to Brenda.

I do not support Trump's tariffs. Never did.

Brenda wanted to take money from those who are successful and give it to those to start a business, even though they have no idea how to run a business. But that is not all. Brenda wanted to take money from the successful and give it to poor people so they can pay the down payment on their mortgage

In short: Trump is not perfect, has a lot of faults, but was the far superior candidate over Brenda.

Trump only won because Brenda proved herself to be inept. The Public wanted an alternative to Trump, but Brenda did not measure up.

I am not sure where you get this glorification of Trump. Trump won the independent, moderate vote.

I was open to voting for a better, different candidate than Trump. But none was available.

The working class voted the Dems out mostly because of rising inflation. They will do the same with the Republicans during the midterms if inflation remains sticky.

The swing states - and that includes my home state of Nevada - will vote for the best candidate for President regardless of Party.

Keep in mind that Nevada ( and myself) voted Dem for President in 2016 and 2020, but voted Trump in 2024.

I see very little glorification of Trump in Nevada. Lots of independent, nonpartisan voters here.

I am one of those people.

The Biden/Harris administration did some terrible things, such as bringing in illegal immigrants/terrorists so they could pad the Democratic voter rolls.

Trump was not great, but Biden/Harris was a disaster.

Dems have become the AOC/Omar/Talib/Bernie antisemetic party.

I had no choice but to vote for Trump.
