Paul - Re: Intel and StrongARM

According to an article in the the Sunday Times (UK Newspaper) on 21 December 1997, Advanced RISC Machines Ltd ( ARM ) is to float on the NASDAQ during early 1998. ARM is 43% owned by Acorn Group plc (UK).

I wonder what interest Intel will have in ARM when it floats (if any) and what the effect of this floatation will be on Acorn shares. Acorn shares have been at a low point for months but responded well to the ARM / Intel deal.
Acorn are into NC's and have agreements with many major players in that market.
