Hi Suresha, Thanks for sharing your thoughts on CTXS. I am not yet sure if CTXS is a good short here at 40. This short-term weakness could be due to product transition uncertainty, the upcoming release of MSFT"s WBT software, and lack of earnings consistency. Look at their past 4 qtrs. and you see what I mean.

I am trying to educate myself since I don't want to get trapped, long or short. Just imagine what a trap for shorts it would be if a $75M contract(HW/SW) with Fed-Ex is announced.

As far as what QCOM said yesterday, I have no idea. They couldn't have said anything different than two-three weeks ago because those problems are still there. Due to the CTIA show, they released a whole bunch of PRs, some of which were expected such as extension to the PrimeCo H/S contract and others that were more interesting such as new Baseband, CSM,(probably used in their new base stations, due for release by Q4/98) & MSM chipsets.

Let me say that nothing that they released has not been thought of or not already implemented. Let me also tell you that if other companies like LU or MOT don't make such announcements is only because they don't sell CDMA chipsets to competitors. I don't know, maybe they should.

Looks like QCOM is going to keep a lot of patent lawyers busy.
