OK ... Rod's Well Service was a privately- owned corporation whose office is located in Kilgore, Texas. The corporation operates about 70 oil wells presently in the East Texas Oil Field in and around Kilgore. Full time employees are 3 managers / supervisors, 2 secretaries/bookkeepers, 2 field maintenance men, and 3 contract pumpers. The principal owners of the corporation either own or control 100 per cent of the working interest in the oil wells. Also the principals are involved in a limited partnership that operates a saltwater disposal facility in the Kilgore area. ( I have a couple JPG photos of this site) They are also majority owners in a company that furnishes specialized rental equipment of offshore drilling rigs in southeast Texas. In the same area, they own an interest in a offshore drilling mud disposal/land farming operation. ( I have JPGs of this operation) Integrated with the drilling mud operations is a NORM (naturally occurring radioactive material) cleanup program. I have a copy of the radioactive material license #L05035. They are currently negotiating a joint venture related to environmental cleanup and contaminant disposal operations. I am going to try and set up a website with these JPGs I have. One such venture is scheduled to be operational before July, 1998 is a partnership with a firm that has designed and manufactured portable machinery that will be used primarily for separating and cleaning oil saturated solid and other materials. The oils, either refined or crude are separated from the soil material in a situ, the "clean" soil is restored to its original position, and the oil waste is either taken to a disposal site, or is reclaimed. The practical application for these machines is not only for oil field-related pollution, but for pipeline storage areas, barges, refineries, underground storage remediation, and any other area where oils may have caused surface contamination. These machines are now operational, and have proven most satisfactory in cleaning both non-hazardous materials, as well as the NORMs (Naturally-Occurring Radioactive Materials). At the present time, the machines are being tested so to the possibility of converting them to heavy metal separators, which could be utilized for cleaning old mine dump sites scattered throughout the US, but concentrated in the Rocky Mountains. There is a substantial fund set aside by the US Government for cleanup in these areas. Another project in which the corporation is involved is the acquisition of one or more salt domes on the Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast for the purpose of permanently storing NOW (Non-hazardous Oil field Waste) and NORM materials within the caverns that are leached out of the interior of the domes. These caverns may have storage volumes in excess of 15 million barrels, and in many domes, 3 or 4 such caverns may be leached out. At the present time, the fee for disposing of NORM waste is approximately $150.00 per barrel, and NOW material is from $9.00 to $15.00 per barrel. It is projected that the storage ratio will be 10% NORM and 90% NOW material. As I get more I will post it... Happy Trading GaBard
