I wonder about the price per chip? I thought UFS was historically about 50 cents each, but the SIMO IR guys said "a few dollars each" in an investor presentation in March. That's a pretty big difference, which is correct? I wonder.

It's not a Micro SD card, it's a Micros SD Express card, which there aren't very many of. But yes, you can really buy from anyone who makes one and it should work. Nevertheless, there are some being marketed as specifically formulated for Nintendo Switch 2, and they're in one of those. Not very clear which, but they said that it's one of the South Korean manufacturers, and I see that Samsung has one and I haven't seen one from SK Hynix, so I would guess that it's Samsung's.
