I suppose the implication is that the rest of the world has had a bad 75 years or so, whatever the equivalent of a long drawn out 'come to Jesus' experience is, the flip side to our experience.

Could be the reserve currency status has allowed all kinds of economic and social mal-investments that could not have been made otherwise.

Not that unwinding won't be painful, it most likely will be. Deadly even.

Could be that the US reserve currency status has been deadly for others already. Good and bad in everything.

Oh well.
