I recently added CVX, XOM, EPD, ENB to a portfolio that was looking to increase dividends.

Added CVX to my own portfolio.

I would stick with top quality in this environment, companies that you know will be sound through whatever happens.

I recently opened a position in CVX. When it comes to oil and gas, I prefer to start building a position as the sector is declining. I buy small and add small. For example I added a small amount yesterday, the 15th, and I'll add a little more at the end of the month. I'll repeat this process each month going forward.

I currently have a small loss -6.17% but when I add again at the end of the month, the cost basis should come down.

I wouldn't go in with a large position until oil prices have fallen a significant amount from here. I prefer to average in.

I currently have positions in CVX, EOG, FANG and OKE. I think they are all at attractive prices right now.

<<Anyone have any thoughts on Oil & Gas?>>

I have KMI with a basis under $20 and long term divis so as might be expected I'll be keeping that significant position.

I would also opine that most thoughts re any security would be dependent on whether the thinker has a position and the gain/loss status of that position as well as future prospects. all imho
