Wayne,

Happens to me all the time too.In CTXS example of splitting 3/2,their stock had ran up so far,it became a overpriced.Usually when these things split, there is no back up in the stock, with the exception of IOM.

I'm watching 3 stocks that have run up so far and are getting ready to split, DELL, AOL, MSFT.

My analysis is

DELL ran from a recent price of 80 to 130 and will probably keep going up,came through with great earnings

AOL bought it at 25 last year, sold it at 40,thought it was overpriced then,no earnings, this last rush from the 80's to the 120's apparently was caused by some short covering.Doesn't this thing have to back-up somewhere.Only problem is picking the top.

MSFT split yesterday, they refused to buy back any shares when it was 130,even stated they thought their own stock was overpriced, now it's 160/2 low 80's,and I think headed higher in the short term.I'd love to be able to pick a top here, this thing could come crashing down.
One thing I'm waiting for,is the price approaching 100,the theory that any stock that makes 90,continues to 100.

I don't have enough money to short but will be looking to buy some puts, won't buy any puts on DELL though, me thinks they're for real.

Buzzy
