I wish they'd quit using that term. Sex is "assigned" at conception, not at birth. A fertilized egg possessing either XX or XY chromosomes normally determines whether a fetus develops into a male or female.

Good point. But progressives claim life begins at birth, not conception, makes infanticide easier when the child isn’t considered human. Yet they can’t seem to explain how a child could exist at birth if conception never happened.
