Of course they have a reason, Sly. They always had a reason even without Trump, and even if the U.S. remained a benevolent superpower. This is because no matter what, they'd always have to be at the mercy of U.S. monetary policy.

BRICS doesn't want that. BRICS believes in a "multi-polar world order" where they can be in control over their own destiny without the guidance or the leadership of the U.S.

And I guarantee you that this sentiment didn't start with Trump. After all, Biden already gave them more than enough incentive, especially RuZZia who doesn't particularly like the U.S. and the EU "interfering" with their oil trade. That $60 oil price cap, for example, is only possible because the West completely dominates sea shipping routes. (Something PooTin the mAsTeR cHeSs pLaYeR neglected to forsee.)

So the transition to a post-America world was already an inevitability. Where we position ourselves depends on whether we have competent leadership in the White House, and I think we all know the answer to that. #idiocracy
