In the article mentioned a few messages ago, there was a comment that could affect Zip Plus tie rates:

If someone passes on their old Zip drive when they buy up to Zip Plus, now you have two groups of people buying Zip disks. I know this happened when I bought my Zip Plus and gave away my old SCSI Zip.
