Trump won the independent, moderate and swing vote. That is how he won the popular vote for the first time. Those people voted for Trump because they thought he was the better candidate over Brenda. Lots of people, including myself, had issues with some of Trump's policies, such as tariffs. There is no pure adulation of Trump here. On the other hand, hatred for Trump is off the charts. There will always be some partisan Democratic and Republican voters who will swallow whatever the Party dishes out and accepts it. I am not one of those people and a lot of Trump voters feel the same way. If the Dems nominated a candidate that wasn't so far to the Left, maybe they would have won. I consider hatred for Trump to be far greater than those who adore him.
