ADC Telecommunications Names Mark Borman Vice President, Investor Relations MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- ADC Telecommunications, Inc. (Nasdaq: ADCT) announced today that it has named Mark Borman as Vice President, Investor Relations. In this position, Borman will be responsible for financial communications and relations with the investment community. Borman joins ADC from General Instrument Corporation, where he was Vice President, Investor Relations and named among the best inventor relations officers by Institutional Investor's All-America Research Team. Prior to joining General Instrument in 1991, Borman held a broad range of financial and strategic planning positions at First Chicago Corporation, FMC Corporation, Price Waterhouse and Main Hurdman. "Mark brings a wealth of investor relations skills and established strong relationships with many of ADC's investors and Wall Street analysts," said Robert E. Switz, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, to whom Borman will report. "We look forward to Mark's proactive and responsive relations with the investment community and his many years of industry experience." Borman earned a MBA degree from the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business and an undergraduate degree from Michigan State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst. ADC Telecommunications, Inc. designs, manufactures and markets a wide variety of transmission and networking systems and broadband connectivity products for fiber optic, twisted pair copper, coaxial and wireless broadband global networks. The company's products are used by telephone companies, other public network providers (such as wireless, broadcast, and cable TV operators) and private voice, data and video network providers. Revenues for the fiscal year ended October 31, 1997 were $1.2 billion.
