There is a superabundance of Catholic influence within the Democratic Party, an internal culture shaped more by confession and absolution than by accountability. It’s priestly politics gone mad, where missteps are quietly pardoned, scandals are forgiven, and no one is ever held responsible. The result is a system where personal responsibility is deflected by communal rites of political absolution.

One can’t help but notice that some of the most eccentric and ideologically extreme figures within the party trace their roots back to Catholic culture. Joe Biden was educated in Catholic schools, as were several other prominent voices on the fringe. The pattern is striking, an upbringing steeped in doctrine, authority, and moral ritual breeds political actors fluent in symbolic gestures of virtue, but allergic to consequences.

Catholic culture, when transplanted into politics enables a closed, self-reinforcing loop where image matters more than outcomes, and pardons replace accountability.
