Re Motorola problem. DSC switch problems could be reason MOT has deal with Alcatel (sp?) in France on switches. I am not sure if Alcatel has their switch ready yet but if it works better than DSC's, you can be sure MOT will be using it not only in France. Poor DSC equipment is likely one of reasons MOT cellular business has stagnated past few years. Quite simply, DSC is not able to update its technology as fast as others. They want to be a full service provider, but that role is best handled by the bigger companies-NT and LU. DSC tries to do too much and except for Litespan, spreads itself too thin.It should be a niche provider, like TLAB. In any case, if we hear more bad news re MOT business, the stock will sink to low to mid teens especially if MOT shifts business to Alcatel.We have not seen worst of selling, esp as they may miss their numbers this Q.
